Section Programming

Before going to the specific plan programming, general section programming comes first in order to arrange the hierarchy of the building function. Administration treated as private space at the top, so that it could be prevented from the disturbing of public access understairs.Main public space is assigned into level 2 in purpose, so there will be more space for forming a plaza for public. In addition, a broad open promenade level is introduced between Administratoin Level and Main Public Level, linked by the vertical circulation in order to plant the landscape into the building, then it can be believed that it also will be a place where most of social activities take place.

Street and each Level Circulation

The idea of new urban street was continued in the Exercise 3 after old planning was replaced by new, in order to reinforce the theme of sociality. The tree roots-like streets spread into surrounding urban context, consequently continuity of street was created. Also, each level always has certain response to the street under by making a void at the center of the plan, which at the same time enables a continuity vertically.
